The SolenoidÂ’s purpose is to actuate the outboard motor starter comparable to remotely activating the switch. It requires a considerable amperage to operate a motor starter therefore, it also needs a specific diameter wire dimension to carry the load. The solenoid terminals consist of large wires connecting to the starter. The SW276 can fit Mercury.
