Description
The needle bearings are tiny and are round metal parts called "needle bearings" that reduce friction between moving surfaces that rotate slowly. The NEEDLE BEAR SET-J/E 18-4040 is the load-carrying component of the bearing. It allows the outer and inner rings to spin almost friction-free. The needle roller bearings are subject to constant stress concentration that eventually cause peeling, no matter how well you grease the bearing. The damaged needle rollers can compromise the operation. When the needle rollers need replacements, NEEDLE BEAR SET-J/E 18-4040 is a perfect replacement for needle rollers. It replaces Johnson/Evinrude Outboard 387142, 387139, 764102, and 764103.
