Description
The Washington Alloys 5556 is an improvement over the already high-quality Washington Alloys 5356; this results in a more ductile filler that resists breaking better than others. Because of its high tensile strength and outstanding forming capabilities, the alloy composition makes this a versatile filler metal for a range of applications. Aluminum isn't as robust or as stress-resistant as other welding materials, but you may simply compensate by using a filler metal with a greater manganese and zinc content.
